The Dell PERC 6/E Raid Controller Card is A PCI-Express serial attached SCSI (SAS) controller that provides ultimate performance, data protection and scalability for external SAS raid applications.

This card is exclusively for use with connecting a Dell Powervault MD1000 or MD1120 external storage array with a host server for a direct-attached storage connection. This card is NOT required if daisy-chaining a PowerVault MD1000 to an MD3000 enclosure or an MD1120 to an existing enclosure that is already attached.
