Update on essential services updated definition during lock down

Update on essential services updated definition during lock down

To our valued clients  and partners,

As you may all recall, on Monday 23rd March 2020our State President announced a nationwide lockdown starting at 23h59, Thursday, 26th March 2020 as a measure to flatten the curve in the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are in Day 3 of the 21-day mandatory lock down.

The current regulations limit companies, that should operate during this period, to the provision of essential goods ONLY. We believe we should be categorised, and has thus categorised ourselves as non-essential goods and services providers in the current context during this period. This does however not affect support during the lock down. Our support channels are manned by our staff working remotely in the safety of their homes. You are still able to  mail or call  during this period.

Any outstanding orders and / or returns will be paused and will resume once the lockdown is lifted. We are closed during this lockdown period.

While we are it, a reminder of the basic safety tips to observe:

Wash your hands frequently::

>>Clean hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub for at least 20 seconds.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth::

>>Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or flexed elbow.

If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early::

>>Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.

Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider::

>>Stay informed on the latest developments about COVID-19. Follow advice given by your healthcare provider, your national and local public health authority or your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

This is the most important number to remember right now during this period:

CORONA VIRUS(COVID-19) 24-HOUR HOTLINE NUMBER: 0800 029 999 (Please remember this number is toll free . Do not hesiate to contact the hotline should you feel necessary)

And lastly, if we observe and follow the guidelines set out by our government and the WHO, we shall overcome this challenge. We are stronger together and when united against a cause.

The Tekmart Africa family is keeping everyone in our thoughts during this period.
